A Beatles sampler

In another posting I posted a McCartney playlist. Here is my shot at distilling an intro to the Beatles for those who need an introduction. Again, it had to fit on one 80 min CD. I used the versions from 1 and Yellow Submarine when possible because they sound better. I also tried to make it flow well so that it was a good listening experience.

Thanks so much Bob. I needed this and it came up today, out of the blue. I had a cover of Golden Slumbers performed by Ben Folds and had no idea that it wasn't his song, Bethany corrected me and pointed me here.

Great list. Very hard to distill The Beatles down to 80 minutes!

You know what I'd like to postulate about? What if Lennon hadn't died, had finally embraced his Beatles-era music and went on tour, playing whatever he wanted, what would the set list be?

Kind of like all the recent McCartney tours, but Lennon and his music instead...

Isorski, what a great idea! I'll see if I can come up with a list like that and post it sometime.
