Last summer I took more than a little bit of grief from friends over the state of my lawn. My decision to trust the natural process rather than expend time, money and energy on artificially watering my lawn seemed, to the unbelievers, like a bad idea. True, my lawn was not lush and green then but I had faith that it would be OK in the long run. This picture, taken this week, shows that my lawn looks just like the lawns of my neighbors.
I stand exonerated.

Beleive it or not, I'm a little jealous, Bob! SE Virginia is currently going through our "Snow promised but not showing up" phase of the season!
beautiful yard :)
Amen! :)
my dad subscribes to the same theory. i agree.
Our lawn got REAL bad this past summer with the drought because we didn't keep up with the watering. We spent a lot of money on grass seed in the autumn and it looks better.
I quit cutting the lawn years ago, too. I hate doing it! I gave away my lawn mower and now pay someone to cut and trim and make it look nice.
I've been telling my wife for our 18 years of marriage that I'd prefer to concrete the whole yard.
